Hi @PuMu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If a hard reset on your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer failed, you can try the following steps to reset the printer and resolve any issues. A hard reset can help clear error messages and restore the printer to its default settings.

Hard Reset Procedure

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the printer from the power source and any connected cables (such as USB or network cables).

Remove the Battery (if applicable):

  • If your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer has a removable battery, take it out. This helps to ensure the printer is completely powered down.

Wait for 60 Seconds:

  • Leave the printer unplugged and the battery removed (if applicable) for at least 60 seconds. This allows the printer to reset internally.

Reconnect the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back into the power source.
  • Reinsert the battery (if applicable).

Turn On the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn the printer back on.

Additional Steps If Hard Reset Fails

If the hard reset does not resolve the issue, try these additional troubleshooting steps:

1. Update Firmware

Download Latest Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest firmware for the HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer.

Install Firmware:

  • Follow the instructions on the HP Support website to install the firmware update.

Kindly find the next set of steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @PuMu,

Please find the next set of steps below.

2. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

Inspect Paper Path:

  • Open all accessible areas of the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Remove any debris or stuck paper.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and there are no obstructions around them.

3. Reset Network Settings (if applicable)

Access Network Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.

Reconfigure Network:

  • After resetting the network settings, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

4. Check Power Supply

Use Original Power Adapter:

  • Ensure you are using the original power adapter and cable that came with the printer.

Test Power Outlet:

  • Plug the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the outlet itself.

5. Reinstall Printer Drivers

Uninstall Existing Drivers:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall any existing HP printer drivers.

Download Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.

Reinstall Drivers:

  • Install the drivers and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer again.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a more complex hardware or software problem. Contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
