have a HP Photosmart D110 printer, driver name HP Photosmart D110 series class driver

Just purchased new HP laptop running windows 11. Have Photosmart D110 series printer connected wireless. Can print a job but the job never gets purged from the print queue. Subsequent jobs get backed up until I clear the queue by stoping and restarting the print spooler task. Had no issues when running a pc with windows 7.  Is this printer and driver compatible with windows 11?  Do I need to update the curring printer driver? Do I need to buy a new printer?

The built-in driver supports basic print function.

The software for this printer is no longer listed as available from HP.

When available for the printer and a supported version of Windows, install the Windows built-in print drivers.

When installed, the Windows print driver provides basic print function.

Examples

Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.

Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.

Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows  Scan (in English) to install it.
