Hi @jockeyeba,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding updating your HP Envy 5052 printer software!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Printer Software on HP’s Website:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Search for your printer model, HP Envy 5052, and select your operating system version (macOS Sequoia 15.5 if available).
  • Download any available software or driver updates.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store if it's not already installed.
  • Open the app and ensure your printer is connected.
  • The app may automatically prompt you for a software update or guide you through updating necessary printer firmware and drivers.

Apple Software Update:

  • Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
  • Select "System Preferences," then click on "Software Update."
  • Ensure your Mac is updated as peripherals often require the latest OS updates for compatibility.

Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, try removing the printer and reinstalling it.
  • Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
  • Select your printer from the list and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Add the printer again by clicking the plus (+) button and following the setup prompts.

I hope this helps.
