The printer lacks an continuous Automatic Document Feeder -- it cannot feed a stack of papers into the printer one after another.

The printer applications and software generally provide the means to scan one sheet of paper, then remove and replace with a new paper > "Add" the new scan page to the current job.
Reminder: There are limits to the size of a scan job -- For example, the printer memory is limited. Too many "add" new pages to the current scan might result in the whole job collapsing. No, there is not a scan a little, save, scan more, save -- If the scan job fails in the middle of the job, the job content is lost.
