Is it about time for HP to make and publish a FIX for Error Oxc18a0206? I have two D7460 printers that a failing. I've tried all the recommended procedures to no avail. One printer I can shut off, turn back on and it will work until it goes to sleep from non-use, then I have to do it everytime. The second printer will not print not matter what and gives this error. 

Something changed with software updates or whatever, but I didn't have this problem before.

For the Printer with the error message, try this: 

 

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  1. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6. NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

 

To prolong the life of the display, it dims after two minutes of inactivity. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the display goes into a sleep state and the screen shuts off completely. The display turns back on when you touch the display, press a control panel button, insert a memory card or connect a storage device, or access the HP Photosmart from a connected computer.
