Hi @guildf50,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The PIN for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 series printer is usually required during setup for wireless connectivity or accessing certain features. Here's how you can find it.

Wireless Setup PIN

If you're looking for the Wireless Setup PIN for connecting the printer to a network:

  • Check the printer's control panel or LCD screen:
    • Go to Setup > Network Setup > Wi-Fi Protected Setup > PIN.
    • The PIN will be displayed on the screen.
  • Alternatively, print a Network Configuration Page:
    • Press the Wireless button or go to Settings on the control panel.
    • Select Print Reports > Network Configuration Page.
    • The PIN will be listed under the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) section.

Administrator PIN

If you're looking for an Administrator PIN for advanced settings:

  • If you haven't set a custom PIN, the default might be:
    • 12345678 (factory default).
  • If a custom PIN was set and forgotten:
    • Perform a factory reset on the printer to remove the custom PIN. (Be cautious, as this resets all settings).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
