how do i fix "printer validation failed" error on HP smart tank 6001

I have set up a new HP Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One printer which works fine with my iPhone XR but I received a "printer validation failed" message when trying to set up with my desktop running MS Windows 10 (64 bit)
