How to check ink levels on HP 5255 officejet all-in-one printer

         Hello Kiesyhppe,

  To see the ink level of your printer, just open the Windows control panel, right click on your printer icon, create a shortcut, on the Windows desktop: yes. A shortcut is created on the desktop, click on this new shortcut, you should have the menu like my photo :

Full menu, installed with full HP driver. For more details let us know in your return.

Is this your case? If not, to have it, you must uninstall the old driver for your printer and install the new HP driver. complete. Thank you for your comeback.

Thanks, Walter - but when I right-click on the printer icon, I don't get "Create a shortcut" as an option.

Just Unpin from taskbar, Resize, Unpin from start, Run as administrator, Open file location and Uninstall

You have to click on Devices and printers, in the control panel, then right click on the icon of your printer and in the menu that opens, you have a line ''Create a shortcut'', you click on it, create on the desktop: yes. See picture below:

This new shortcut created on the Windows desktop, is used to open the menu of your printer, see my photo in the first post.(By clicking on the line ''Customize your printer)
