Display screen shows paper jam. There is no jammed paper in the machine. Problem has been occurring over the last week - clears after waiting overnight, but comes back again.
I would like to try a "factory reset," but can't clear the "paper jam" message from the display screen.
Two hours ago I had the Blue Screen with error message B815BFE4.

Hi @jerseymeg ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer, including a persistent paper jam message and a blue screen error. Let's tackle these one at a time.
To perform a factory reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer, you can follow these steps:
- Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
This should perform a factory reset on your printer, hopefully clearing any issues it may be experiencing.
Now, regarding the paper jam message, even if there's no visible paper jam, the sensors or mechanisms might still detect something wrong.
Here are some steps you can take to clear a phantom paper jam:
- Check for Jammed Paper: Open all the access doors and trays of the printer and carefully inspect for any tiny pieces of paper or debris that might be causing the sensor to detect a jam.
- Reset Printer: Since you've already performed a factory reset, try turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, and leaving it for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on again.
- Manually Move the Carriage: Sometimes, the carriage that holds the ink cartridges might be stuck. Gently move it from one side to the other to ensure it moves freely.
- Inspect Printer Rollers: Make sure the rollers inside the printer are clean and free of any debris. Dirty rollers can cause paper to feed incorrectly and trigger a paper jam message.
- Update Firmware/Drivers: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware and drivers installed. Sometimes, software glitches can cause false error messages.
