I tried to telnet port 9100, it worked. But when I tried to send any command to it, it never send readbacks.

I also tried to send the commands by usb, but i cant see readbacks in this method. so i dont know that is it just simply dont work, or it works but send no readbacks to me.

is it intentional to not giving feedbacks to commands? if it is, how can i use commands? thank you.

my english isnt very good, hope you can read it.

Are you sure that the printer model supports (understands) PJL?

The low-end printers are host-based and they don't support PJL commands.

Thanks for your reply! Then, how can I check whether my printer supports PJL?

i just check the document of my printer’s product specifications, and it says that it supports PCL 3 GUI. Could this be related to whether to support PJL?

I find a pcl3gui sample file and use usb to send it to the printer, but it didn’t print any things.

So I check the file, it has the pjl command “@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE=PCL3GUI” in it.

Are you still there? Thank you.
