The printer does not support auto-duplex for scanning/copying.

 

However, you can use the full-featured software to manually scan 2-sided documents.

 

Refer to the document How to scan with an HP printer. 

 

Additionally, Open HP Scan software and follow the steps in the video:
Scanning from an HP Printer in Windows with HP Scan
