hp 1310 series driver for windows 7

Hi

I have this wonderful  hp psc1315 printer that i want to install on my older Vostro1000 laptop that has Windows 7 installed. Since I have limited data each month,  I'm looking for a "no frills" driver with a size of around 50megs or so.  All HP seems to be offering is a full feature driver with close to 400 megs. Any suggestions? Also, can drivers be obtained on cd rather than through download?

You are correct, the Full Feature Driver (so rare for these old printers) is about 363MB.

You could perhaps opt to install just the Windows print drivers if they would install for Windows 7.

Print function only - no scan.

No, CDs are not provided - you can certainly download what you want to keep and store it on a USB stick for later reference.

Suggestion: 

Do download and save everything and anything that you want that is related to this printer. 

The printer support website contents will disappear when the printer is officially "retired".
