hp 1320dn

I've a client company that purchased a "refurbished" hp 1320dn.  The original owner had set the IP manually to the 10.

network and likely changed the administrator password (I say likely as I can't find a default password on the HP web siite for this printer).  My only option is to reset to factory default using the embedded web interface.   I did that (embedded web interface stops responding) then power cycled the printer and printed the configuration but it is still manually assigned IP 10.0.125.40.  What do I do next? .

Are you able to change the manual address through the EWS? When you access the EWS are you prompted to login before you can access any features beyond basic status information? If not, then you are correct that a password has been entered but performing a factory reset should clear that password. If you have access to the EWS, try to change to network settings from manual to DHCP.
