Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hi, i've been trying the install this printer and I couldn't get past the download of hp essential software. I'll get up 30+ mb of the driver then it'll time out.  I tried looking for it online to donwload directly but I can't find it.  it came with a disc but my imac doesn't have a disc drive.  how do i get this printer installed?

Directly download and install the Essential Software below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-esse...

Once done open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign to add your printer, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.
