Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I load standard business envelopes into tray 1 of my HP 9730E printer, and then open Word and put the sending and receiving addresses in the mailings section, and press print, my printer tells me tray 1 is set up for 8 1/2 by 11 paper. But I moved the guides to accommodate the envelope size.  I also can't locate anywhere on the printer display where I can modify the paper tray size.   ????

Welcome to the HP English Community --

You are perhaps most of the way there.

Add a check at the Printer Control Panel OR the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to adjust the Tray and Paper.

User Guide - HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-in-One Series

Load Paper - Starting on Page 11 - Envelopes on Page 17

Change the default paper settings >> Page 24

Example - (Alternate EWS format - select new OfficeJet Pro printers and at least a few LaserJet printers)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure

Next  (in addition and as available)

Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray
