Hi @muhamedrafeeq,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4303 is asking for a username and password to change the network settings, it’s usually referring to the printer’s embedded web server (EWS) or administrative interface. Here’s how you can address this and change the network settings:

1. Default Login Credentials

Try Default Credentials:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin or leave it blank (often the default password is empty)
  • Note: If these don't work, the credentials may have been changed from the default.

2. Use the Printer's Control Panel

Change Network Settings via the Printer’s Control Panel:

  • Access Network Settings: On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup or Network Settings. This path may vary depending on the exact model and firmware version.
  • Change Network Settings: You might be able to adjust network settings such as Wi-Fi configuration directly from the control panel without needing to log in via a web browser.

3. Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If you have access to the printer’s IP address:

  • Find the Printer’s IP Address: Print a network configuration page from the printer's control panel to get the IP address or find it in the Network Settings menu.
  • Open a Web Browser: Enter the printer’s IP address in the web browser’s address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).
  • Login to EWS: When prompted for a username and password:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: (Try admin or leave it blank, or use any custom password if you set one up)
  • Navigate to Network Settings: Once logged in, go to the Network or Wireless settings to change network configurations.

4. Reset Administrator Password

If you can’t remember the credentials:

  • Reset to Factory Defaults: This will reset the printer’s settings, including the network settings and admin password. This is usually done via the printer’s control panel:
    • Navigate to the Menu: Find Setup or Service options.
    • Locate Factory Reset: Look for a Reset, Factory Reset, or Restore Defaults option.
  • Note: This action will clear all custom settings, so you’ll need to reconfigure the network settings from scratch.

5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Ensure the printer’s firmware is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve issues with access and configuration.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
