Hello
I have just changed the ink cartridges in my hp deskjet 2721e printer with new HP cartridges.
Since then the printer no longer works, only the scan works well
When I uninstall and install the printer again, in the hpsmart application it says that I have to put the setup cartridges but I have none left because I bought the printer about 3 years ago
the printer pin code also no longer works when I try to use it on hpeasystart

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the new cartridges you installed are genuine HP cartridges.
  • Verify that they are seated correctly by reinstalling them.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and the printer.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Printer Firmware Update:

Use the HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app.
  • Perform any troubleshooting steps provided by the app.

Using Reset Cartridges:

  • Sometimes new cartridges might need a reset sequence to be recognized.
  • Follow the correct steps for reinstalling the cartridges: open the printer, remove the cartridges, and reinstall them with the printer powered on.

Reset to Factory Defaults:

  • Perform a factory reset to ensure there are no leftover settings causing the prompt.
    1. On the printer control panel, navigate to Settings.
    2. Select Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.
    3. Confirm the reset. Note that this will erase all custom settings.

Check Printer’s Ink System:

  • Navigate to the HP Smart app and ensure that the printer recognizes both cartridges correctly.
  • Perform a ‘clean cartridges’ cycle or ‘align cartridges’ from the HP Smart app.
