Hi @Mohan-_1234,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with downgrading the firmware on your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4720 printer. Printers with cartridge protection must have the feature disabled before installing some cartridges. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve cartridge protection issues:

Check if Cartridge Protection is Enabled: Go to your printer settings to ensure that cartridge protection is turned off. You might need to access these settings via the HP software on your computer.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges, as non-HP cartridges might not function correctly with HP's cartridge protection features.

Reset the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer for about 60 seconds, then reconnect it and turn on the printer to reset it.

Reinstall the Cartridges: Open the cartridge access door, remove the cartridges, and inspect them for any protective tape that needs to be removed. Reinstall them carefully and ensure they are seated correctly.

I hope this helps.
