Laserjet Pro M252dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

VERY UNHAPPY with driver for LJ Pro M252dw. It comes with 10 pre-defined printing shortcuts. NONE of them are configured the way I want to print. HOW DO I DELETE THEM? If I create a new, customized shortcut for the way I actually print, it appears AFTER all 10 of the ones I don't want. I can't seem to get rid of what I don't want and the driver forces what I DO want to appear AFTER the ones I don't want.

I'm the one who paid the money for the printer. I'm the one who uses it every day. Why are MY desires overridden by choices I don't want. Customer first - ha!

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

Thank you

The method suggested by KrazyToad cost me half and hour and two reboots and took me back to precisely the same place.

I still cannot manage the pre-defined printer shortcuts and my own still show up at the end of the list.

Conclusion - HP shows no regard for user experience with this product.

I have checked the printer drivers and you can create new custom shortcuts but cannot remove the existing ones

You use shortcuts that already have essential settings already selected for common print job types. You may also create your own custom shortcut for future print jobs.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02227495 but you cannot remove existing one
