@sasanvillas, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP LaserJet 1010 Printer Driver and Windows 10 Compatibility!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP LaserJet 1010 series printer is quite an old model, and HP does not provide official drivers for Windows 10. Here are a few alternatives you can explore to try and make your HP LaserJet 1010 work with Windows 10:

Use Compatibility Mode:

  • If you have the older drivers for a previous version of Windows (such as Windows XP or Windows 7), try installing them in compatibility mode.
  • Right-click the driver installer file, select "Properties," and then choose the "Compatibility" tab. Set the compatibility mode to an older version of Windows.

Windows Built-in Drivers:

  • Try connecting the printer to your Windows 10 computer and see if it is recognized automatically. Sometimes, Windows will use built-in generic drivers that may allow basic printing functions.

Universal Print Driver:

  • HP offers a Universal Print Driver (UPD) that supports a wide range of HP printers. Download and install the HP Universal Print Driver from the HP support website, and see if it provides functionality for your printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
