I recently purchased Officejet Pro 8035 all-in-one printer for my Windows 10 computer (64 bit). I have installed the software provided by HP and it successfully installed. 😀 The "Application - Third Party software, Readiris Pro 15 for HP,, was also installed after the printer software was installed.
☹️The problem is there was no automatic activation of the Readiris Pro 15 for HP software. The URL the software was downloaded was:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8030-all-in-one-printer-..., and the support website also states the Rediris will automatically be activated.
I have tried and the software is not automatically activated. Readiris provided a link to another version for HP, but there was no automatic activation also.
HP Support reinstalled the HP software and the Readiris software from the provided URL and still nothing....the Readiris (both from HP and from IRIS did not automatically activate nor did I receive any activation code. The software is on a trial basis for 10 days.☹️
Has anyone else observed this situation? Was it remedied? If so, how...without purchasing a copy of the Readiris software .
Thank you.

Suggest talking (chatting) with a HP support agent if you are unable to scan to OCR using the HP Scan software. There should be a scan shortcut task named "Save as Editable Text (OCR).
Since I purchased my printer (early July 2019), I noticed the available software from "https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8030-all-in-one-printer-series/242..." has a newer release date. Be sure you have the latest software.
If it is still not working properly, maybe contact asmita6658 (from this thread...view profile then send message) and explain you are having the same problem as listed in my original post. They should establish a case number and should be in email contact with you.
Respectfully.
