need a hp photosmart b8500 download drivers and start up direction say do not plug in USB cable till download  need help when i use disk from printer it says exit close application

I understand you are trying to set up your HP Photosmart B8500 Photo Printer on your Windows 10 (64-bit) system, and install the correct drivers, follow these steps:
 

1. Download the Latest Drivers

Since the installation disc is not working, it's better to download the most up-to-date drivers from HP's website:

  1. Visit the official HP support website: HP Support - Software & Drivers.
  2. In the search bar, type "HP Photosmart B8500" and press Enter.
  3. Select your printer model from the list (e.g., HP Photosmart B8500 Photo Printer Series).
  4. Choose Windows 10 (64-bit) as your operating system.
  5. Download the full feature driver package for your printer.

2. Install the Drivers HP Photosmart B8550 Printer series Software and Driver

  1. Do not connect the printer to your computer via USB until prompted.
  2. Once the driver package is downloaded, double-click the file to run the installer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. The setup will guide you on when to connect the USB cable.
  4. If you want to connect via WiFi or Ethernet, follow the prompts during installation to set up the network connection instead of USB.

3. Setup the Printer

  • Once the drivers are installed and the printer is connected, go to Devices and Printers in Windows and check if the printer appears.
  • If prompted for any updates or additional software (like HP Smart), install them to optimize your printing experience.
