Hello HP Support team,

I need assistance with a region reset for my HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer.

Issue:
My printer shows “Incompatible Cartridge” when installing HP 912XL cartridges.
After checking the printer label, I discovered that my device is an Asia-Pacific region model, but I now live in the UK, where only HP 912/912XL cartridges are sold.

Request:
Please perform a region reset to the Europe/UK region, so I can use HP 912/912XL cartridges.

 

Kindly help to solve this issue.

I'd be glad to help you. Please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different regions, and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.

 

I request you to please get back to me with the following information, so that I can help you change the region settings on the printer.

 

Do you still have the ink cartridges for both regions

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Which OS is on the PC? Is it Windows or Mac?

Do you have the printer's full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?
