@samantham75, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the HP Smart app not functioning properly after recent updates. Here are some suggestions to help resolve the problem:

Check for App Updates:

  • Make sure the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version. You can check for updates in the app store on your device (such as Google Play Store or Apple App Store).

Reinstall the HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device and reinstall it. This can often resolve issues related to app glitches or updates.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP Support website, downloading the latest firmware, and installing it on your printer.

Check Network Connection:

  • Confirm that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes connectivity issues can cause problems with app functionality.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and the device running the HP Smart app. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connection issues.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • If the printer has network settings options, resetting them and reconnecting the printer to your network can help resolve the issue.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
