HI @Scorb,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering a specific error with the HP Smart app while trying to set up or use your HP ENVY 6065e. The error code OW_500_OWSID00001 indicates there might be a problem with the HP Smart app itself or a conflict with the network or system configuration.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Clear Cache and Data
On Windows:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find HP Smart in the list.
- Click on it and select Advanced options.
- Click on Reset to clear cache and data.
On macOS:
- Go to Applications and find HP Smart.
- Drag it to the Trash and empty the Trash to remove it completely.
- Reinstall HP Smart from the Mac App Store.
2. Check for Software Updates
- Ensure that both your operating system and the HP Smart app are up-to-date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs or compatibility issues.
- On Windows, check for updates in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- On macOS, go to System Preferences > Software Update.
3. Reinstall HP Smart
On Windows:
- Uninstall HP Smart from Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Restart your computer.
- Download the latest version of HP Smart from the Microsoft Store and reinstall it.
On macOS:
- Uninstall HP Smart as mentioned above.
- Restart your Mac.
- Download the latest version from the Mac App Store and reinstall it.
4. Network Configuration
- Ensure Stable Internet Connection: Check if your network connection is stable.
- Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block HP Smart. Temporarily disable them and see if the issue resolves.
- Router Settings: Ensure that your router settings are not blocking the HP Smart app. Restart your router to refresh the connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
