HI @Scorb,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering a specific error with the HP Smart app while trying to set up or use your HP ENVY 6065e. The error code OW_500_OWSID00001 indicates there might be a problem with the HP Smart app itself or a conflict with the network or system configuration.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Clear Cache and Data

On Windows:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  2. Find HP Smart in the list.
  3. Click on it and select Advanced options.
  4. Click on Reset to clear cache and data.

On macOS:

  1. Go to Applications and find HP Smart.
  2. Drag it to the Trash and empty the Trash to remove it completely.
  3. Reinstall HP Smart from the Mac App Store.

2. Check for Software Updates

  • Ensure that both your operating system and the HP Smart app are up-to-date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs or compatibility issues.
  • On Windows, check for updates in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • On macOS, go to System Preferences > Software Update.

3. Reinstall HP Smart

On Windows:

  1. Uninstall HP Smart from Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Download the latest version of HP Smart from the Microsoft Store and reinstall it.

On macOS:

  1. Uninstall HP Smart as mentioned above.
  2. Restart your Mac.
  3. Download the latest version from the Mac App Store and reinstall it.

4. Network Configuration

  • Ensure Stable Internet Connection: Check if your network connection is stable.
  • Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block HP Smart. Temporarily disable them and see if the issue resolves.
  • Router Settings: Ensure that your router settings are not blocking the HP Smart app. Restart your router to refresh the connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
