Hi @yakuba

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see there is an issue with the HP utility. In the meantime you can switch to AirPrint: On macOS and OS X, most HP printers work with Apple AirPrint to provide full-quality printing without the need to download or install drivers.

I hope this helps.

Hi @yakuba,

Thank you for your response. To find out the current version of HP Utility on your macOS 15.3.1, you can follow these steps:

1. Check the Current Version of HP Utility on Your Mac

  • Open the HP Utility app:
    1. Click on the Finder icon in the dock.
    2. Go to the Applications folder.
    3. Locate HP Utility and double-click to open it.
  • Once HP Utility is open, you can typically find the version number by going to the HP Utility menu at the top of the screen:
    • In the menu bar, click HP Utility next to the Apple logo.
    • Select About HP Utility.
    • A window will pop up showing the current version of the HP Utility installed on your Mac.

2. Check the Latest Version Available

  • To ensure you have the latest version of HP Utility for macOS, you can visit the HP Support website and check if there’s a newer version than the one you currently have installed.
    • Go to the HP Support website: HP Support.
    • Enter your printer model (for example, "HP LaserJet P1102w") and search for macOS drivers.
    • Under Software and Drivers, look for the HP Utility or macOS drivers section, and check if a newer version is available for your macOS version (macOS 15.3.1).

3. Update HP Utility (If Needed)

  • If a new version is available, you can download and install the latest version by following the instructions on the HP Support page.
  • If you have an older version of HP Utility, updating it might resolve issues and provide improved compatibility with macOS.

I hope this helps.
