Hello, I am having extreme difficulty getting my hp 1020 printer to work. I have purchased this legitimately in 2005. It works on my other computer with the same operating system windows 10. But not on my current computer. I have tried everything possible that I can find online. I located the driver file and tried to install the certificate. It says it was successful but the certificate still shows its expired. The printer displays as "unspecified" in the "Devices and printers. I still have the installation CD that came with the printer but it will not complete the installation. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I am so frustrated because this printer is the best printer I have ever used in my life. The toner cartridge lasts forever and I suspect HP does want people to use it anymore for this reason. This aspect of life is such a disappointment. This printer proves that toner cartridges can last longer than they are currently made. In any event, i need help and I hope someone will be kind enough to help me.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Try updating your operating system and check if that may help:
- Click the Start (Windows) button and then click Settings (The gear icon).
- Click Updates & Security
- Click "Check for Updates, it may take few minutes to complete.
- Click :View Optional Updates" (Located right below the check for update button if visible), if it is not visible skip to step 7)
- Expend the Drivers category and look for any HP update if visible).
- Now check for any difference.
- If the same persists, disconnect the printer and restart your PC, then download and install the latest driver below:

Be sure NOT TO PLUG the USB till the installation PROMPTS to do so, then check for any difference.
Please let me know if that helps,
Shlomi
