Hi  @Hobbes2026

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out. I’m glad to hear that the printer setup completes successfully. I understand that the printer appears to be installed correctly, but it is producing blank pages when you attempt to print. I'll do my best to help.

To better understand the issue, could you kindly provide the exact HP printer model number? (Click here for steps )When you mention "HP 4200," are you referring to an HP LaserJet 4200 series printer or another model?

Additionally, could you kindly confirm the following:

  1. Are the blank pages occurring when printing from all applications or only from a specific program?
  2. Does the printer print internal reports or configuration pages correctly?
  3. Have you recently replaced the toner cartridge or any other printer supplies?
  4. Are there any error messages displayed on the printer control panel or on the computer?
  5. Is the printer connected via USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi?

In the meantime, kindly try these steps and confirm :

  1. Print a Configuration Page (Click here for steps and additional information )
    • This will help determine whether the issue is related to the printer hardware or the computer/software.
  2. Check the Toner Cartridge
    • Remove the toner cartridge and inspect it for any protective seals or packaging materials that may not have been removed.
    • Reinstall the cartridge securely.
  3. Clean the Print Cartridge Contacts
    • Power off the printer and carefully reinstall the cartridge to ensure proper contact.
  4. Try Printing from a Different Application
    • For example, print a simple text document from Notepad to see if the behavior is the same.

Click here to refer to the HP document explaining about the HP printer prints blank pages

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
