printer was connected wirelessly to router..  then for some reason it disconnected...    will now not connect and gives invalid WPA passphrase when entered  (i have executed the WPA multiple times know it is correct as two PC and phone using the connection).  it sees the proper wireless connection but when WAP entered it says invalid.  i have reset,   i have unisnstalled and reinstalled printer ..    cannot get it to work.  Have directly connected PC `to printer      usb and it prints.

@blprinter,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

What is the wireless light status on the printer? (Blinking or steady)

I recommend you restore the network defaults and then try running the wireless setup wizard.

Here is how it is done.

Select Setup, select Network, and then select Restore Network Defaults.

Follow the below steps to run the wireless setup wizard.

1. On the device control panel, press the Setup button.

2. Press an arrow button to move to Network Settings, and then press OK.

3. Press an arrow button to move to Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press OK.

4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

If you continue facing the issue, the HP Print And Scan Doctor might get this sorted out

Please download and run the HP Print And Scan Doctor from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Also, try using the HP Smart App and let me know if that helps. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hp-smart/9wzdncrfhwlh

@blprinter,

Please try setting a different security type on your router, e.g. change from WEP security to WPA-Personal or WPA-Enterprise based on the options available on your router and check if it helps.
