Hi @Os21 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand there could be a few potential issues causing your HP OfficeJet Pro 8023 printer not to turn on or respond. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check Power Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly plugged into a working power outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to the printer.
  • Reset Power: Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds. Then, plug it back in and try turning on the printer again.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Sometimes, a paper jam can prevent the printer from turning on. Open the printer's access door and check for any jammed paper or debris. If you find any, carefully remove it.
  • Inspect Ink Cartridges: Faulty ink cartridges or printhead issues can also cause the printer to fail to turn on. Open the printer cover and check the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly installed and not damaged. You can also try removing and reseating the cartridges.
  • Software Reset: If none of the above steps work, try performing a software reset on the printer. To do this, unplug the power cord from the printer while it is still on. Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds. Then, plug the power cord back in and try turning on the printer again.
