macOS 10.15 Catalina

Whenever I am trying to use the scanner I get an error message that pops up:

 

hpdm.framework will damage your computer

 

At this point I have to click on cancel or report. So I click the button and the message comes back several more times. 

I have followed your instructions to completely uninstall the HP printer software from  my MacBook Pro. Then I restarted the computer. Then I downloaded the latest HP Easy Start software (version 20.10.0) which prompted me through the driver installation and printer setup process. However, during the process the error message returned. Something is not right.

 

Please advise if you have a new driver to be released needed for the MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 as well as for the new MacOS 11. Thanks. The way it is now all I can do is print, but can't scan on my Macbook. I can however scan using my iPhone and the HP mobile app. 

 

Also there is another error that happens when I use the HP Easy Scan app:

 

The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.imagecapture error 4294967249.)

 

Please advise.

Hi Martin,

Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

This should resolve the software problems you experience for either Catalina or Big Sur.
