Welcome to the HP English Community --

Drivers for supported your supported Printer Model and supported Operating System / version are always free at the printer's Product Home - Printers  support website.

There is no "climbing all up" -- Download and install what is available for your printer and your OS.

Your computer is not full of bugs -- there is no fee for drivers -- stuff should install -- you do NOT need to purchase firewall software -- you should NEVER let someone you don't know into your computer.  HP Support does not NOT post phone numbers on the Internet.  HP does not want to climb into your computer.

If you need more  help from the Community, do provide us with your Printer Model name and your Operating System / version.

Generic Sample

Open the printer's Product Home page

Open Software & Drivers for your printer

Change (if necessary) the Operating System / version

Open "All Software and Drivers"  > Open All

Look for the Driver package you want to install

For example,

Beware of Fake Sites

The "Real Deal"

123.hp.com - Printer setup from the HP® Official site

https://123.hp.com/

The official HP 123 site is where you can find the appropriate (and free) software and drivers for your printer.

There are many “fake” sites listed (in search engines) for “123” – please make sure you are using the actual “HP” site.

If you are asked for money to correct "issues" on your printer or computer OR if the “help” wants to sell you software, threatens you, or wants access to your computer, you are using a “fake” site. Do not give these people your information!

Important

  • HP does not free-post HP Support numbers on the Internet.  Not.  Not in secret, not in chat, not in pop-ups, and not so a nice technician can call you back, sneak into your computer, and then tell you your computer is full of bugs.

  • Be wary of any posted messages in the Community containing phone or email links – these are likely scammers who mean you harm.

  • Please do not post any personal information in the Community.  We are a public resource.

  • Be very careful when out on the Internet looking for help - one little dot, space, or letter out of place can land you in trouble.
