Hi @windycityfarm ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to reload the driver for your HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer and the printer is showing an E error, follow these steps:

Uninstall the Existing Driver:

  • On Windows: Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs" > "Programs and Features". Find your HP printer software, right-click it, and select "Uninstall".
  • On macOS: Go to "Applications" > "HP" folder and run the "Uninstaller".

Download the Latest Driver:

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your printer model: "HP ENVY 6455e".
  • Select your operating system (Windows, macOS, etc.).

Install the Driver:

  • Download the recommended driver package for your operating system.
  • Once the download is complete, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

Here are the direct steps:

Go to HP's official website:

Search for your printer model:

  • Type "HP ENVY 6455e" and select it from the drop-down list.

Choose your operating system:

  • The website should automatically detect your operating system. If not, select it manually.

Download the driver:

  • Look for the "Driver-Product Installation Software" section.
  • Click on the "Download" button next to the full feature driver.

Install the driver:

  • Once downloaded, open the file and follow the installation instructions.
