macOS 10.14 Mojave

Printer test page works, printer status sows idle.  Will print from other network Mac computerm but no this one.  Problem occured after unplugging computer and printer while painting room.

@modj, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

  • How is the printer connected to the MAC?
  • Check the connectivity between the printer and the MAC.
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Do you have any anti-virus installed on the MAC?

You may check this in System Information > Applications. If yes, disable the same and then try printing.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
