@levjea, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 All-in-One Printer supports automatic duplex printing, which allows printing on both sides of a sheet automatically. If the printer isn't printing on both sides of the paper, it could be due to several reasons. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Ensure Duplexer Setup:

  • Make sure the duplex printing feature is enabled in the printer settings.
  • Access the print settings and choose the option for duplex printing.

Software Settings:

  • Check the printer settings on your computer to confirm that "Print on Both Sides" is selected. You should find this option in the print dialog box, often under "Printer Properties" or "Preferences."

Paper Type:

  • Ensure you are using paper that supports duplex printing. Some thicker papers may not be suitable for duplexing.

Driver Update:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer driver installed. Visit the HP support website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Printer Firmware:

  • Check if your printer firmware is up to date as firmware updates often contain bug fixes and improvements.

Manual Duplexing:

  • If automatic duplexing is not working, you could try manual duplexing. This often involves printing one side, reinserting the paper accordingly, and then printing the other side.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
