Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93
If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Hello, I already did that in the past with no success.
No, I didn't find any HP programs installed.
Yes, I found and deleted drivers.
Yes, I found and deleted an HP folder.
And I just did it again, still error 2753.
I can see the green installing bar fastly growing and then stopping in the middle, giving error 2753.

Try using the built-in drivers: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879

Hello Betty.
Strange things happen here.
When windows goes looking for printers it crashes the wifi connection of this computer. I have to stop the search and it will appear in a few minutes. So it can install the driver.
Today I bought an USB cable and tried installing the printer: using HP driver I get the same 2753 error.
Without your driver windows does not recognize it as a printer (unrecognized device).
Unfortunately I cannot format and reinstall all because I have a special software installed (billing and invoicing) which has to be installed by the technician, and it's expensive.
I think I don't have viruses on here, I already scanned by different antiviruses.
Thanks for your help.

Create a TCP IP port
1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
This video resource will show you how to do it:

Helo Betty,
as I wrote, we deleted all the drivers (so even the windows built in) and the original HP driver cannot install.
That's why connecting the printer via USB it does not work.
Anyway, I found an .inf driver in the internet, not distribuited by HP, which worked.
https://www.drvhub.net/devices/printers/hp/officejet-pro-7740-series-pcl-3
I used it to install printer via USB, and then I changed the port to TCP/IP.
Solved.
Thanks for your help
