Hi all
problem on HP 840 G5 machine, Windows 11 Pro
a long time ago, I owned a deskjet printer that no longer exists on my local network.
- Every time I run a Windows upgrade, I get the error "HP - Printer - 20.80.3.9568 , installation error 0x800f020b" .
- This error prevents the system from being updated. No more updates, system security compromised (and this since January 2025).
- no items relating to this printer appear in the " update uninstall" section of Windows system
- the system has been cleaned with the command "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth ... Checkhealth and Restorehealth", without any success
- all the recommendations found in the H.P. knowledge base did not work or could not be applied (the printer is no longer on the network, so no firmware upgrade is possible, no printer reboot is possible, etc.).
- I didn't notice anything in particular in the registry
I hope this problem has been solved by another member of the HP community.
Cheers
Marc
