Hi @hrr101,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Prepare Your Printer:
- Ensure that the printer is turned on and connected to your computer, either via USB or network connection.
- Verify that there are no pending error messages on the printer’s control panel.
Download Firmware:
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your printer model "HP LaserJet MFP M234sdwe" and click on the "Submit" button.
- Select your operating system "Windows 10 (64-bit)" if it’s not automatically detected.
- In the list of available software and driver updates, look for the Firmware section.
- Download the latest firmware update file.
Install Firmware Update:
- Locate the downloaded firmware file on your computer.
- Double-click the file to begin the update process. This will launch the HP Printer Update utility.
- Follow the on-screen instructions: The utility will detect your printer and check if any updates are available.
- If an update is available, click "Update" or "Install" to apply the firmware update to your printer.
Finish and Restart:
- Once the update is complete, the printer might restart automatically. If not, turn off the printer and turn it back on to ensure the update is applied successfully.
Test Your Printer:
- Try printing a test page to confirm that the firmware update has resolved your printing issues.
I hope this helps.
