Just keep the machine away from humidity and dust also keep the machine in an area that is within optimum environmental conditions.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, 

To get the answer to this question, yes you can store your printer in the closet. Place the printer in a plastic bag (use the original packaging if available or a trash a bag). Place the printer right-side-up into a box with protective packaging materials.

Sorry for the miscommunication, I am using the printer, not storing it. I just wanted to make sure it is safe to have the printer in the closed closet while in use. Keeping it out of sight) . Thank you
