Hi @40444,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding keyboard issues on the HP 15.6-inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 Series!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches. Shut down your laptop, wait a minute, and then turn it back on.

Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the keyboard for any visible signs of damage or debris under the keys that could be affecting functionality.

Update Keyboard Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button.
  • Expand the Keyboards section, right-click on your keyboard, and select Update driver.
  • Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Open Settings from the Start menu.
  • Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Keyboard and click on Run the troubleshooter.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Check for updates to install any pending updates.

Test in Safe Mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to check if the issue persists. This helps determine if a third-party software might be causing the problem.

External Keyboard Test: Try connecting a USB keyboard to see if it works. This can help determine if the issue is limited to your laptop’s keyboard.

Reset BIOS Settings: Sometimes, restoring BIOS settings to default can resolve keyboard issues.

  • Restart your laptop and press F10 as it boots to enter BIOS.
  • Choose the option to reset to default settings and save before exiting.

I hope this helps.
