Hi @lisamsw,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw printer is showing a message stating that the drivers are unavailable, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue.
- Verify Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or the network. Check the USB or Ethernet cables to make sure they are securely plugged in.
- Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve driver-related issues. Turn off your printer, disconnect it from the power source, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Restart your computer as well.
- Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Visit the official website of the printer manufacturer and navigate to the support or downloads section. Look for the latest printer drivers available for your model. Download and install the drivers according to your computer's operating system.
- Use Windows Update: If you're using a Windows computer, you can try updating your operating system to see if it automatically finds and installs the required drivers for your printer. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and click on "Check for updates."
- Remove and Re-add Printer: Sometimes, removing and re-adding the printer can help resolve driver issues. On your computer, go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners." Select your printer and click on "Remove device." Then, click on "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the on-screen instructions to re-add your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
