laserjet 3015 setup issues

Hello, 

I have a hp laserjet 3015 and I can't add this printer to my hp laptop. the printer is a bit old and it doesn't support wireless connection, so I connect to laptop via usb but I have problems adding the printer to my laptop. when I run the "install.exe" in the driver I downloaded from hp website and choose usb mode as the mode of installation but nothing happens after the program is done. I have also checked device manager to see if when I plug in the printer a new device will be added or not, but nothing happens when I plug and unplug my printer .

Can you help me with setting up my printer?

You may need to install the next drivers for your printer:

• 1. DOT4 driver
  • >> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL44939/fp-148007-1/Dot4x64.msi
• 2. PCL6 driver
  • >> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/UPD/upd-pcl6-win10-x64-8.2.0.26778.zip
  •  

2. Once you install the drivers Restart your computer.

3. After restart then go to Windows > Configuration > Printers and select Add Device printer

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.

I downloaded the drivers and ran the install.exe in pcl6 zip and also ran msi.dot4 and restarted my laptop as you said. I opened printers and devices in control panel but it couldn't find my printer

I wanna add it manually but I'm not sure about the port and other things it asks for. Can you help me add it manually? Thanks a lot dear @FerRX

Thanks for following the steps 😇

1. Ok, when you add it manually you need to select Port - USB001 or maybe appear like Port - DOT4 and the you click on next 

2. When you have the next screen click on Manufacturer - HP

• and for Printers - Laserjet P3015
• 

3. Simply click on Next to complete driver install.

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.
