All of a sudden when I try to scan from my computer it says no scanner found.  I have always been able to click on the scanner icon (which now says not found) or go to the print/scan doctor and that usually takes care of it.... not this time.  An option comes up to add it, when I do that it still cannot find the printer.  Unsuccessful network installation is the message I get.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks..

@sp_smith, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you have with scanning and also there is an error. Follow the steps from the document HP Printers - 'Unsuccessful Network Installation' Error (Windows) to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
