Lost connection between laptop and printer - both HPs.  I have a wired printer.  This was fixed remotely last week quite timely.

Suddenly I have lost the connection between my 15.6" HP Laptop to my HP Envy 4500 printer.   Not fun working against a deadline.   After many years of good service, this happened last week and was fixed remotely quite quickly.

Hi @unisys2 

1. Check the USB cable between printer and Laptop,

  • disconnect for 2 minutes then connect back again
    • to ensure there is proper USB cable connection.

2. Then you may need to install driver software to make it work again:

>> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPEasyStart/HPS2/HPEasyStart_17_6_15.exe
