I just received a brand new HP Color LaserJet MFP M283dfw,  After I placed the printer papers to the tray 2, the tray 2 locked up.  It cannot be pushed in and it can be pulled out either.  I tried the solution of resetting power from  communities messages.  That is

1) un-plugged the power to the printer while printer is on

2) un-plugged the power cord from the power source

3) wait for 60 seconds

4) plug in the power cord to the power source

5) connect the power to the printer

6) printer automatically turned on

7) wait until printer finished its initialization and quiet

😎 unload papers from paper tray

9) reload papers to the paper tray

10) the paper tray 2 remain in locked position (cannot pushed in and cannot pulled out)

I would appreciate any advices from whom familiar with this  problem.

Thanks!

Can you clarify the problem. You say the tray is locked up but you then indicate that you can remove paper. Are you having a physical tray problem?
