Just purchased an HP Office Jet Pro 8025e. It prints fine from my pc, however when copying or printing from a Macbook Air, it prints very slow. Tried it from my iphone and the same thing. My older HP 8600 works fine. I have been in touch with HP and Mac. Hp finally told me that the software performs differently with Windows and Mac. Sounds like a softward design flaw, but HP does not acknowledge it.
Anyone have the same problem? or a solution?
Thanks

Hi @ephjr,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing slow printing or copying speed specifically when using your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e with your MacBook Air or iPhone, there are a few potential causes and troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Printer Driver: Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your MacBook Air. Visit the official HP website and search for the OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer model to download and install the latest driver compatible with your Mac.
- Connectivity: Check the connection between your MacBook Air or iPhone and the printer. If you're using a wireless connection, verify that both devices are connected to the same network and that the signal strength is adequate. If possible, try connecting the printer directly to your MacBook Air using a USB cable to see if the issue persists.
- Print Settings: Adjusting the print settings on your MacBook Air or iPhone may help improve printing speed. Try selecting a lower print quality or draft mode to see if it speeds up the process. Additionally, ensure that any print queue or pending print jobs are cleared before initiating a new print or copy task.
- Firmware Update: Verify that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer has the latest firmware installed. You can typically update the printer's firmware from the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP website and searching for firmware updates for your specific model.
- Reset Printer Settings: Resetting the printer settings can often resolve issues related to speed or performance. Locate the printer's control panel or settings menu and look for an option to restore factory settings or reset all settings. Note that this will erase any custom settings you have configured on the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks Alden. We have tried all that you mentioned and nothing works. The slow printing is also when copying.
I have spent time on the phone with HP and also Mac. I believe there is a softward problem in the printer. My next course, I guess is to see if HP will replace the printer.
Will acccept any other ideas you may have.
Thanks

I am so frustrated with HP. Did another chat this morning and all they want me to do is what I have done already.I just don't believe the problem is with my Mac. My older HP8600 continues to work fine. What is the warranty for? I just am not ready to go through all the diagnostics again. Been there a couple of times. HP continues to push it back to the Mac. I just don't believe that is the problem. Soooooooo frustated.

Finely got someone with HP that knew what they were doing. After much frustration and knowing that it was a printer issue, the rep today did something that no other had done. He had me do a reset from the printer, That took care of the problem. It was not anything that I could have figured out myself. All is good now.
