Hi @rachelbeauty,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having trouble with double-sided printing where the alignment isn't coming out correctly. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Printer Settings:
- Make sure that your printer settings are configured for double-sided printing. Sometimes, the issue can be with the printer settings themselves.
Align the Pages in the Print Dialog:
- When you select double-sided printing in your print dialog, look for options like “Flip on Long Edge” or “Flip on Short Edge” depending on how your printer handles double-sided printing. Ensure you have the right option selected for your type of document.
Printer Calibration:
- Your printer might need calibration. Many printers have a built-in calibration feature that you can access through the printer’s menu or software.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Check the HP website for any available updates.
Check Paper Size and Type:
- Make sure the paper size and type selected in the print settings match what is loaded in your printer. Any mismatch can cause alignment issues.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. HP often release updates to fix bugs or improve performance.
Manual Alignment:
- If possible, try manually aligning the pages. Print a test page to see how misaligned the pages are and then adjust your print settings accordingly.
Test with Different Document:
- Try printing a different document or file to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the specific document or the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
