Hi @jacob2324,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The message you're encountering, which includes lines like "POST /ipp/printer HTTP/ 1.1", suggests that the print job is somehow generating an HTTP request format output instead of the expected document content. This is unusual for a standard print job and indicates a misconfiguration or an error in how the print job is being processed. The IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) mentioned in the message is used for network printing, but you shouldn't be seeing raw IPP requests in your printed output.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
Check Printer Configuration: Ensure that your printer is correctly configured for your network and that it's not mistakenly set up to print protocol messages. This can sometimes happen if the printer or driver is misconfigured.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers: Ensure that your printer firmware and drivers are up to date. HP often release updates to fix bugs or improve performance. Visit the HP website, find the support section for your LaserJet Pro M201dw, and check for any available updates. Click here
Check the Print Queue and Printer Settings on Your Computer: Look at the print queue on your computer to see if there are any stuck jobs or unusual settings enabled. Sometimes, clearing the print queue (deleting all current print jobs) can resolve strange printing issues.
Reset Printer to Factory Defaults: If none of the above steps work, consider resetting your printer to its factory default settings. Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the printer and network settings to the factory defaults. It will not reset the page count. CAUTION: Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also deletes any pages that are stored in the memory.
1. Open the HP Embedded Web Server. See Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
2. On the System tab, click Service.
3. In the Restore Defaults area, click the Restore Defaultsreleases button. The printer automatically restarts.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
