Hi @fredzik,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Deskjet 3325 printer is encountering a paper feed issue and possibly driver compatibility problems. Here’s a step-by-step guide to address these issues.

Check for Paper Feed Issues

  • Paper Alignment: Ensure the paper is aligned correctly in the tray. Sometimes, paper that's too tight or too loose in the tray won’t feed properly.
  • Rollers: Clean the paper rollers. Dust can prevent the rollers from gripping the paper, even if they appear to be moving. To clean them:
    1. Turn off and unplug the printer.
    2. Open the access door and locate the rollers.
    3. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to clean the rollers.
  • Paper Path Check: Look for any small pieces of paper or debris that might be obstructing the path.

Ensure Cartridges Are Installed Correctly

  • Verify that the cartridges are seated properly in their slots. Open the cartridge access door, remove the cartridges, and then reinsert them until they click into place.
  • Run a "cartridge alignment" if available from your printer’s maintenance menu. This can ensure the printer recognizes the new cartridges correctly.

Check for Driver Issues

  • Since downloading drivers hasn’t been successful, try to manually download the correct driver:
    1. Go to the HP Support website.
    2. Enter your printer model (DeskJet 3325) and select your operating system.
    3. Download and install the latest driver.
  • If this fails, try using the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool, which can diagnose and resolve many driver and software issues. It can be downloaded from the HP support site.

Test Printing in Different Software

  • Try printing a test page directly from the printer’s control panel or using another software program to rule out a software-specific issue.

Reset the Printer

  • Sometimes, a full reset can help:
    1. Unplug the printer while it's on.
    2. Wait 60 seconds.
    3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

If the issue persists after these steps, the paper feed or hardware components may need servicing, especially if cleaning the rollers didn’t resolve the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
