@Joyce9211, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Open Devices and Printers

Press Windows + R, type control printers, press Enter.

Look for all versions of your printer listed (e.g., “Copy 1,” “Fax,” “Web Services,” etc.).

Set the Correct Printer as Default

Right-click the working one > Set as default printer.

You’ll see a green check mark appear.

Rename the Working Printer

Right-click the version that works > Printer properties > General tab.

Change the name to something like "Home HP Printer" or "HP 2700 Main".

Click Apply, then OK.

Remove Extra or Conflicting Printer Entries

Right-click any duplicates or ones labeled “Copy 1”, “Web Services,” or unneeded Fax options.

Choose Remove device.

If prompted for administrator permission, click Yes.

Check Spooler & Restart It

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, press Enter.

Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click it > Restart.

Make sure it’s set to Automatic (right-click > Properties).

Try a Test Print

Right-click your renamed printer > Printer properties > Print Test Page.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
